My Story
I'm truly passionate about helping others in meaningful ways. As a caretaker at heart, I have dedicated over 20 years of my life serving individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the support and care they deserve. I moved into mental health counseling after I saw just how much mental health care was lacking, specifically for those who may have a chronic health condition or disability. Together, our work will empower you to embrace and live the life you envision for yourself. Therapy can be a profoundly life-changing experience, and I am genuinely glad you are here, taking this important step toward your personal growth and well-being.
As a therapist, flexibility is key to creating a supportive environment for clients. Every person is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and communication styles. Adapting our therapeutic approaches to meet these diverse needs ensures that clients feel understood and empowered. By incorporating various techniques—such as visual aids, structured routines, and sensory considerations—we can foster meaningful connections and support personal growth. My goal is to create a safe space where clients can thrive, express themselves authentically, and achieve their individual goals.
My own experience with a chronic, disabling health condition has led me down the path towards helping those with disabilities, illness or neurodiverse challenges as a life career path.
